Cheryl Grant is a licensed Marriage, Family Therapist and Certified Sex Addiction Therapist. She has experience in sexual compulsivity and addictive disorders. Cheryl also works with individuals and couples on personal and relationship issues to restore equilibrium, relieving symptoms of anxiety and depression. Her collaborative, direct, no-nonsense approach has helped many clients deal with a variety of challenges.
She received her Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University - Los Angeles, and a Bachelors of Arts in Sociology from UCLA. Cheryl is a Level II EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) clinician and has completed a 3-year program in Somatic Experiencing (Body-Focused Psychotherapy) from the Somatic Experiencing Trauma Institute; both approaches are effective and widely used for treating the effects of trauma.
Cheryl is a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT) from the International Institute for Trauma and Addiction Professionals (IITAP). She holds memberships in the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (AAMFT), and the Society for the Advancement of Sexual Health (SASH).
Cheryl facillitates an ongoing weekly support group for individuals in early sobriety at an outpatient facility, and treats mood disorders using somatic psychotherapy and EMDR at a residential treatment center. Cheryl brings over
