Cheryl Grant, MFT, CSAT

 
   

Cheryl Grant is a licensed Marriage, Family Therapist and Certified Sex Addiction Therapist.  She has experience in sexual compulsivity and addictive disorders.  Cheryl also works with individuals and couples on personal and relationship issues to restore equilibrium, relieving symptoms of anxiety and depression.  Her collaborative, direct, no-nonsense approach has helped many clients deal with a variety of challenges.

She received her Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University - Los Angeles, and a Bachelors of Arts in Sociology from UCLA.  Cheryl is a Level II EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) clinician and is currently training in Somatic Experiencing (Body-Focused Psychotherapy); both approaches are effective and widely used for treating the effects of trauma.

Cheryl is a member of both the Los Angeles and state-wide California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT), a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT) from the International Institute for Trauma and Addiction Professionals (IITAP), and a member of the Society for the Advancement of Sexual Health (SASH).

Cheryl facillitates an ongoing weekly support group for individuals in early sobriety at an outpatient facility, and treats mood disorders using somatic psychotherapy and EMDR at a residential treatment center.  Cheryl brings over fourteen years of practical experience to her work with her clients.

   
   
   
Helen Hill, MA, MFT Intern
 
   

Helen is a graduate of Antioch University with a master's in Clinical Psychology.  Ms. Hill provides individual and group therapy pertaining to life and living, women's issues, teen development, and gender issues.  She has extensive experience working with those considering the process of gender transition.  Helen interned at the Antioch University Counseling Center, is a counselor to children with autism, and works with teens in crisis.

Helen provides education and training to health agencies and universities concerning transgendered populations.  She is a member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT) and the Lesbian and Gay Psychotherapy Association of Los Angeles (LAGPA).
